Disappointing Products

Don’t you just hate it when you buy something and it doesn’t live up to your expectations?! I do try and persevere with things as there is usually something I can do with them, but some products are just utter rubbish. IMG_0611

Seventeen Stay Time Primer –This was just awful, I tried to put it on and it made my face feel horribly tight, I couldn’t blend it across my face in time before it dried completely. It was very very uncomfortable on the skin and after writing this post it has gone straight in the bin. It is cheap, but you do get what you pay for!

Seventeen Stay Time Foundation – From the same range as the primer, I could have predicted this would be rubbish. It labels itself as full coverage and it certainly is, it is so thick you can almost feel it clogging your pores. The colours are a little off and again it gives that tight face feeling which is just horrible. This really just didn’t work for me.

Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation – I got this free at one of Smashbox’s promotional events, I have probably used half but I really do not rave about it. To say that it is quite an expensive foundation it just doesn’t do anything really. It clings to dry patches, the colour (I wear the lightest shade) is very orangey and the pump dispenses the smallest amount of foundation imaginable so you have to have about 5 pumps. I will finish this off as it’s high end but I will not ever buy it.

Dior Star Foundation (Not Pictured) – I only had a sample of this and I was so disappointed. I had heard such good reviews of this and thought I would give it a try. It’s safe to say I am really glad I didn’t pay for it. It clung to dry patches, it looked flakey, it dried to a weird powder texture and just all round made me look like I couldn’t apply foundation. This just did not work on my skin in the slightest!

Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow Sticks – I think these have actually been discontinued they are so old, but they were just a bit meh. They creased easily, the colours were okay, nothing special but the formulation was just a bit lacking. I like Max Factor products in general but these were just a bit nothingy.

What products have really disappointed you? Have you tried any of these products? If you have any different views on these then please let me know. I’d love to know if it was just me they didn’t work on.

Much Love
