The Lipstick Tag!

Thank you to the lovely Lucie from Lucieleannexo  for tagging me to do this post, I love lipstick so I was only happy to take up the challenge!

The Rules:

1. Tag 3 bloggers to answer the same questions.

2. Those 3 bloggers will tag 3 more bloggers with the same questions and rules.

3. No tagging back (mentions are fine).

The Questions:

1. How many lipsticks do you own?

Way too many! I wouldn’t even like to count! The only thing I will say is that there is always room for more!!!

2. What was your first ever lipstick?

I honestly can’t remember, I know MAC Saint Germain was a relatively early addition however I would imagine that seeing as I’m a ‘born-in-the-90’s british girl’ it was probably something from Glitter Babes haha! Can anyone else remember buying from that brand? I remember that the body glitter was a particularly good seller!

3. What is your most worn lipstick?

At the moment it’s Benefit’s Lady’s Choice – it’s so creamy and the colour is perfect for every day, think Kylie Jenner but maybe a bit more pink? The texture is gorgeous and I just love wearing it!

4. What is your favourite brand for lipsticks?

I like to try all different brands really. I would love to have some MAC lipsticks in my collection particularly some of the finishes that aren’t matte! I love the texture of the Benefit lipsticks, very comfortable to wear on the lips! I have also been really impressed with Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown and Clarins lipsticks so I literally couldn’t pick one!

5. What is your favourite finish?

I seem to lean towards mattes, I don’t know why as I much prefer the comfort of more of a creamy texture. Strange really but I do always head towards the Matte section in MAC.

6. What is the last lipstick you bought?

It’s kind of cheating, but I bought the Clarins Instant Lip Balm in 01 Rose yesterday and I am just in love with it. There will be a post later on today so keep your eye out for that. I am just so happy that I finally have it in full size!

7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?

There’s usually about 5! I carry Carmex, the mini Clarins Lip Balm, and varying shades of impractical lipsticks like a red, plum and a pink! I like to be able to change my look easily throughout the day!

8. What lipstick do you use to rock a red lip?

Either MAC Russian Red of Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood, Russian Red is a quite dark matte red and Old Hollywood is a very bright creamy texture red. It literally does remind me of the vintage hollywood looks!

9. How do you store your lipsticks?

I have my most used in my makeup bag, my miniatures in my clear pot on my dressing table and the rest in a plastic tray in a drawer in my dressing table. I need to be able to get to them all quickly! I really want one of those clear lipstick holders so I may have to go and hunt one down!

10. What lip products are you currently lusting over?

I really want to try a Tom Ford Lipstick, I don’t know a specific colour as I haven’t let myself look! I would also love a Chanel Lipstick in a classic red colour. It would be so nice to have in my collection! Finally, I’ve heard great things about the Burberry lipsticks and I’ve seen a lovely nude-pink going around on the blogs so maybe I need to investigate further!

  1. I loved reading this post! Thanks for tagging me even though I’ve done this tag. I really appreciate it! ❤ I love MAC lipstick too! Russian Red is my favorite Red as well and I also carry good ol' Carmex with me in my purse. I like mattes but they aren't my favorite because I have drier lips. My favorite MAC lipstick finish is Lustre. I also have way too many lipsticks to count! LOL 🙂 xo

  2. I have Benefit’s Lady’s Choice that was a mini 100pt perk from Sephora I think. I remember liking it a lot. Need to bust that back out – it’s a great every day shade!
