Today was my first trip to town since my exams are done and I was craving a bit of retail therapy! I didn’t really hold back too much as I’ve been pretty good recently and my friend Nicola, who is also a blogger, was there with me so we got a bit excited at all the lovely things that are out there. We actually met in MAC as I needed to get my Giveaway prize for Lauren. Lauren asked for MAC mehr which was a colour I had never seen before. It is a matte finish and is a dark pinky nude. It was love at first swatch and along with one for Lauren, I got myself one too. Sneaky! Here is the lipstick up close, isn’t it beautiful! I will do a full post on it this week as I really do love it! I’d just had my hair done before I met Nicola so I’ll insert a photo of my new hair and I am also wearing Mehr in the picture so it’s a double whammy! The lovely girl at MAC also gave me a sample of one of their mascaras which I am keen to try out! It’s the false lashes mascara and I have really liked the MAC mascaras I’ve tried in the past so I have high hopes! The next shop was the Body Shop which is fast becoming one of my favourite stores. The sales assistant we had was absolutely amazing, so informative and a lovely lady! She gave us a Virgin Mojito to celebrate the launch of their new range and showed us all the products. It is safe to say this scent is incredible and I can see why all the bloggers are raving about it! I bought the shower gel from the range but I think I will be going back for the body sorbet as it was gorgeous!
Whilst there I asked the lady whether she would recommend I get a night cream as well as the lotion I already love. She explained all about the different products in the vitamin e range and I settled for the night cream. All the skin care was on three for two so then came the challenge to pick a few more things. I say challenge, it was pretty easy! Nicola recommended the Aqua Boost Sorbet for days when I wanted a light but hydrating moisturiser without spf. I can’t wait to give it a try! To go with these two moisturisers I got the moisture serum as I am nearly out of my Clarins Hydraquench and fancied giving this a try. Whilst in the shop the ladies asked if I would like to book in for a complementary skincare and makeup session with them next week, so I did! I am really looking forward to it and I will fill you all in on it at a later date!
Next, we headed to Boots where I wanted to pick up my beloved Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation again. I was debating whether to try the compact version but in the end settled on the liquid again. If anyone has tried both id love to know what you think! Whilst at the counter the lady explained more about the renowned Soleil Tan De Chanel and we were both seriously impressed with how gorgeous it looked on! The lady invited me back in a couple of weeks to try out the other foundation and a few other products which I am really excited about! Their new launches will be out then so I am really excited to see them!
Our final stop was John Lewis where I picked up a replacement of my Liz Earle exfoliator. This was in my recent empties and I have really missed it! I had a great afternoon with Nicola and I am so happy with everything I bought! Have you tried any of these things? Is there anything you would particularly like me to review? Let me know in the comments!
