I have mentioned this product in a few posts and also on my instagram but at the moment, MAC’s Crisp Whites Blush from the Wash & Dry Collection is playing a big role in my daily makeup routine. But it was limited edition I hear you say, well have no fear, there is still limited stock on Selfridges website (here) for £20 and I highly suggest picking it up!
So, why do I love it so much? Firstly, it’s a satin finish so it isn’t too shimmery or powdery looking on the cheeks. It is also nicely pigmented so you don’t have to worry about applying too much or not enough. The colour itself is a beautiful corally peach colour which looks great on pale skin tones like mine but would look even better with a hint of a tan in the summer – something I am really looking forward to! This is my first MAC blush so I can’t compare it to others but I would say if you like the tones of Benefit’s Coralista, then you are bound to love this as it’s subtle enough to work with darker and bolder makeup looks, but packs enough pigment for no makeup makeup days.
The other thing I love about this product is the packaging. MAC’s limited edition packaging never fails to disappoint (having said that I wasn’t a fan of the Zac Posen or Charlotte Olympia Packaging) but this really is just beautiful. It is a lovely mix of vibrant colours that create an ombre effect around the packaging. I like how MAC’s packaging has a clear top so you can see the colour too. It also feels lightweight enough without feeling cheap, yet still quite sturdy and robust if that is at all possible?! I’ll include a swatch below of this on my skin but I would say once you add it to your cheeks with a little bronzer and highlight it really takes on a whole new look and just blends in beautifully.
Did you try anything from this collection last year? Is this the kind of shade you like to wear? What other blushes from MAC do I have to try?
