Perfume is something that I haven’t really mentioned on this blog before. I guess it is because I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to what I like and I often am very picky when it comes to what I will wear. However, everyone loves a nice fragrance in the summer so I thought I would share my favourites with you today!
J’adore Dior – This has got to be my favourite fragrance of all time. It is quite strong but not in a ‘give you a headache’ kind of way and is very sophisticated in my opinion. It’s what I wear on nights out or important days and I love the way it makes me feel. I could happily wear this all day every day and never get bored of it. It is expensive at £99 for 100ml but it is definitely worth it and is a fragrance I plan to buy over and over again! This is already my second bottle!
Chanel Chance Eau Vive – I picked this up last year on a bit of a whim as it was the new chanel fragrance and smelt nice and fresh. Little did I know this would quickly become my spring/summer everyday fragrance! I am nearly out of this which is so sad as I can’t really afford to pick up another bottle at the moment but it is so girly and light and I love wearing it! This is £79 for 100ml which is about average for a Chanel fragrance but still quite a splurge in the grand scheme of things. I have to say that this is the only Chanel one I have felt comfortable wearing as I find a lot of them are far to heavy for me and give me a headache. This is just perfect though!
Juicy Couture Couture La La – I had a sample of this in a beauty advent calendar a few years ago and I loved it so when I saw a too good to be true offer on at Boots, I had to pick it up! This is definitely sweeter than my other fragrances but not in a sickly way. It is very summery and girly and lasts really well throughout the day. This is around £64 for 100ml but I bought it on offer a year or so ago for around the £27 mark, I definitely couldn’t warrant £64!! The bottle is one of the tackiest things I have ever seen but in another sense I love it. It is just so over the top that its almost fabulous!
Jimmy Choo – This is my second bottle of this perfume and it’s definitely the most different out of the four. It is more of a sultry evening scent as it’s slightly heavier but lasts for ages! This comes in at £72 for 100ml which isn’t too bad when compared with J’adore for example but as with the others, you are often paying for the name. I love the bottle of this as it is designed to look a little like a grenade and just looks so pretty sat on my dressing table. I would say I wear this the least of the four though now as my preferences have changed and this is a tad too musky for my liking, however I still like the smell of it and should probably wear it more often. I will probably reach for this more in the winter to be honest!
Those are the four perfumes I currently own and enjoy wearing! Have you tried any of them out? What are your go-to perfumes?
