I fancied doing something a little different today so I thought i’d show you what I’ve been doing for breakfast lately as it’s marginally healthier the normal and it also is seriously tasty! It’s a really simple granola bowl but I’ve been loving the ingredients so here’s what i’ve been using:
- Waitrose Pistachio, Raspberry, Apple & Apricot Granola OR Waitrose Cherry Bakewell Granola
- Waitrose Fat Free Greek Natural Strained Yogurt
- Tropicana or Innocent Orange Juice
The waitress granolas are like none I’ve tried before, they are lovely and crispy and full of flavour. The cherry bakewell flavour is my absolute favourite but the pistachio one is delicious too. I pop this on top of natural strained greek yogurt as I prefer having my granola with yogurt instead of milk. This yogurt is much thicker and isn’t sweetened so it complements the granola nicely. If, like me, you have a sweet tooth, I add a spoonful of Nutella to the top of this magical concoction to sweeten it up further. In case you fancy something a little healthier, I have also used Yeo Valley Summer Fruit Compote and that is equally delicious! I finish this all off with a chilled glass of orange juice and you end up with a balanced, filling and really tasty summer breakfast! I also love to add chopped berries to the top to make it a little healthier!
